Waiting On My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly post hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine to shine a spotlight on upcoming books and I'm eagerly participating!

By Huntley Fitzpatrick
Dial Books for Young Readers, 395 pages
Expected publication 14th June, 2012

A gorgeous debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another

“One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time.”

The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. And every day from her balcony perch, seventeen-year-old Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs her terrace and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely in love, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own. Then in an instant, the bottom drops out of her world and she is suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?

A dreamy summer read, full of characters who stay with you long after the story is over.

- Goodreads.com description

Eeeppp!!! This is so my type of book! A dreamy read that got me floating. Also, cute but not all butterflies. Gah! Plus, this sounds a little like Lola & the Boy Next Door. And the cover! Squee!!! Totally looking forward to this <3

So what are you waiting in anticipation?(Or maybe giddiness;))

Top 10 All-Time Favorite Characters In Books

I’m participating again in Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Basically every Tuesday the peeps over at The Broke and the Bookish post their top ten lists on various topics. They even have a special Top Ten Tuesday page where they have previous topics and upcoming topics discussed as well.

So I'm trying hard not to turn this list into swoon-worthy boys but here it is:

1. Rose Hathaway (Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead)

She went through so much yet she stays strong. Plus, I love girls with attitude :)

2. Sita/Alisa (Thirst by Christopher Pike)

I don't really love the series but I love the voice of the narrator! Plus, the first book was just heartbreaking that she lost everyone but she still moved on.

"I am a vampire. And you have just pissed me off" So formal but me and my friend find it hilarious for some reason XD

3 & 4. Jace & Will Herondale (The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare)

Bad boys just make me fall head over heals for them. Plus, they have the best sarcasm ever!

5. Alex Juentes (Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles)

Lived in a bad neighbourhood and in a gang. He strived to keep his family safe. Plus, he is a one hot badass ;)

6. Jenny Thorne (The Forbidden Game by L.J Smith)

She's so innocent and naive and sweet. But she have so much in her. Totally heart her.

7. Lola (Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins)

First, Stephanie Perkins is one of favourite contemporary author and I totally heart her and her books. Second, Lola is just awesome. Especially with her crazy wardrobe.

8. Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins)
Seriously. How can I forget her? A young female character with that much strength? Definitely unforgettable.

9. Audrey Cuttler (Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway)

The girl is as crazy for music as I am! Totally heart her <3

10. Daemon Black (Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout)

Gah! I just couldn't resist. I just have to put him in. I just read the book and totally loved it. He is a total hottie! Also, my favourite alien :D

Okay, maybe I'm a little biased but there goes my list. What's yours? Leave your linky in the comments and I'll make sure I'll visit :D
