The first book in Richelle Mead's brand-new teen fiction series - set in the same world as Vampire Academy.
When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive - this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone's out for blood.

All right. I'm done gushing. Let's move on to the review! :)
I was actually afraid Bloodline would not live up to my expectation. But who am I to judge? It's RICHELLE MEAD. She's awesome and she knows what she's doing. I let out a relief sigh when I knew it was told from Sydneys POV. I'm not much a fan of Jill's. Richelle Mead captured Sydney's naive and innocent voice perfectly. And well... Adrian is still Adrian. And also as charming as ever ;)
Mead kept the romance to a minimum level but still managed to rock the book. There's totally some intense moments between Sydney and Adrian. GAh! I hate that door from opening =="
There's definitely some unexpected surprises. Some plot twists. Bloodlines will keep you at the edge of your seat while you piece the puzzles Mead left for us to figure out the pieces. Definitely a worthwhile read(Even if I totally missed Rose's badass character voice;))
P/S: Don't worry Dimka. You're still in my heart ;)
