Top Ten Books That Were Totally Deceiving

I’m participating again in Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Basically every Tuesday the peeps over at The Broke and the Bookish post their top ten lists on various topics. They even have a special Top Ten Tuesday page where they have previous topics and upcoming topics discussed as well.

This week's topic is 'Top 10 Books That's Totally Deceiving'!

I'm not really a good role model for 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' saying so most books I put here is either because I'm not a fan of the cover or that I didn't read the description.

And, here starts my list in no particular order:

1) Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

I wasn't really a fan of the cover nor fairies back then. But then I joined a challenge to clean up my shelf and the anonymous person asked me to read this one, I can't stop reading it once I started. Totally addictive.

2) Breathe by Abbi Glines

I was waiting for my mom for 4 hours after my piano lesson. I was bored and I got this one in my bag since forever. So I picked it up, and read the whole book in just four hours. Totally amazing.

3) Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley

I wasn't a fan of this cover and I didn't know there was the other cover and I didn't bother to read the description. But then there was all these blog tours and interviews and gushing about it and I just have to pick it up! My first 24-hour plot book and it was amazing!

4) Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

Gah! I didn't know there was a book when the film came out and people were gushing non stop 'bout it. So, peer pressure made me pick this book up and I ended up talking about it for weeks non-stop that my friend had to practically put a tape on my mouth. No kidding!

5) Gift by Andrea J. Buchanan

I requested this on Netgalley, the picture won't come out, I only read the title and didn't even peek at the description. And when I got it, I didn't read it until the last minute. It expired in the middle of my reading! How I was frustrated with myself 'cause it was getting good. Really good. I guess I'll just buy it*shrug*

6) Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

I'm not a crazy fan of the cover here. After Twilight, vampires kinda became a trend and when my friend gushed about it, I tuned my ears out. But she forced me and then we went hunting for frostbite =D

7) Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles

I was not a fan of this cover either. But then it's Simone Elkeles and I just have to read it 'cause she's just so cool and I totally heart her Perfect Chemistry series. It turns out good. Not as good as Perfect Chemistry but good :)

8) Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

I didn't really knew that was feather's floating on him. I can't remember what I thought it was though. But then my friend kept telling me how she wants this book and before I knew it, I've already read the whole series before she was even done with Hush, Hush ;)

9) Perfect Fifths by Megan McCafferty

Let me just say this, I totally gave up on Jessica Darling on the 4th book. I mean, I was all like 'WHY WON'T JUST BE WITH MARCUS ALREADY?!'. I know the 5th book was the last and it'll have a happy ever after but... I just gave up! And it was getting a little bit too adult for me but I got bored so I read it. And I DIDN'T KNOW it was a 24-hours plot! After I read it, I just beamed at Marcus in my head ;)

10) Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
