Putting Boys On The Ledge by Stephanie Rowe Review

By Stephanie Rowe
TKS Distribution, Kindle Edition
31st October, 2011

A funny and heart warming tale about first dates, first kisses, and first loves.

- Goodreads.com description

Apparently, the description goes only like that and I just read the books since I except it from NetGalley.

When I first heard the title, I knew it's going to be about a girl in trying to be in control of guys(which didn't really happen - that much). But I never thought the girl would be so... whiny! And desperate! Whiny and desperate. And she's only 14-years-old for goodness' sakes!

I really hate those first 50 pages. All she did was whine and think if she's hot enough or not for Heath. I was just about to drop the book when I read a spoiler in someone's review and WHOA! I just had to keep reading it. And it was so worth it! The book picked up pace after those first 50 pages and I was all like rooting and smacking on Blue's head mentally.

Eeeppp!!! I just love Colin(and every other main guy in every other books, obviously)! But Colin's personality didn't really show strikingly. It was all about Blue and how she wished Heath would notice her - which honestly, made me feel kind of annoyed.

I noticed that the author pressed on Blue's insecurities here. Don't get me wrong, I'm all on insecurities. I think it's cute. Until it just gets annoying. And when the part Blue wants to impress Heath and all... I hate to say it but it made her sound a tad bit like a slut. But she ISN'T!

All in all, it was a really worthy and cute read. I just don't like it enough to recommend it to other people.
