Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass Review

Throne of Glass
By Sarah J. Mass
Bloomsbury USA Children's, 415 pages
7th August, 2012

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin. Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best. Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

Can I just say that Sarah J. Mass is a genius? SHE’S A GENIUS!

Throne of Glass is my best read of 2012 by far. Honestly, this year is just FILLED with amazingly awesome books. Throne of Glass, Defiance, Don’t Turn Around, Insurgent, Pushing the Limits, Starters, and the list goes on and on.

Throne of Glass is FILLED with epic-ly awesome stuff! I mean, seriously! Assassins, glass castle, secret passageways, romance(of course), dark forces and evil rulers. It’s an epicly awesomely insane book!

The pace of the book is just perfect. The characters are all amazing. I have no trouble in loving them all(except Kaltain, Perrington and King of Adarlan, of course). Especially Celeana. She made an awesome assassin! I especially love every time she analyses her escape. Talk about true assassin!

I’m CRAVING for the next book(and for more Chaol ;)). Please, Sarah J. Mass, hear my beg! ;) I assure you readers will NOT be disappointed by this book. Throne of Glass will captivate you until the end!
