"I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.
So wrong for each other...and yet so right.
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.
"An edgy romance that pulls you in and never lets go. I was hooked!"-Gena Showalter, New York Times bestselling author of the Intertwined series.
- Goodreads.com description
Do NOT
read this on a working/school/whatever-it-is-that-you-do-the next-day night.
Consider yourself WARNED.
I knew that once I
started to read the pages that I’d be hooked. But I never knew I’d be THAT
hooked. I stayed up till 3am to read Pushing the Limits(I ended up falling
asleep in class A LOT) but even then I still don’t want to stop. Pushing the
Limits is THAT addictive.
Echo’s mind
repressed her memory of what happened the night of her tragedy. Noah’s this bad
boy(Holy HOTNESS! Noah*sigh*!) who just wanted his family back together. Both
just wanted normal. But normal is what they’ll never get.
If I have any
complains about this book is that there’s just too many ‘babys’ in there. Like,
seriously. My boyfriend’ll get his finger bitten if he calls me baby :P
But seriously, the
concept of this book is just amazing. I mean, you throw two messed up people
together? That’s just really messed up but amazingly so. I love that they learn
to love and learn to trust. You take baby steps to build a relationship. Not
just you look at him and BAM! Love at first sight! It SO doesn’t work with me.
Seriously, Pushing
the Limits was A-MAZING. It’s
something you TOTALLY couldn’t get
enough. It wasn’t a too heavy read but it isn’t a too light read either. You
got an equal amount of both. Katie McGarry just DID it. She just became one of
my all-time favorite contemp authors(alongside Simone Elkeles, Ally Carter and
Morgan Matson). You go girl! :D
