Tears roll over my face. I touch them with my quivering tongue. They are clear and salty, not dark and bloody. Another sign that I am human. What Alisa has desired for five thousand years has finally come true: She is once again human. But now she is defenseless, vulnerable, and, for the first time in centuries, emotional. As she attempts to reconcile her actions as a vampire with her new connection to humanity, she begins to understand the weight of life and death decisions. Can Alisa resolve her past and build a new identity, or is she doomed to repeat her fatal mistakes?

Right. So, I have read like all four of those books(And probably some little extra like Remember Me (1-3) and Alosha but that's not the point). I was just searching some books on the bookstore's shelf. Apparently there aren't anything new so I just picked up Thirst No. 1(just because of the cover since back then I was too lazy to read the description) and paid for it.
I ended up crazed for the series! So does my friend, Eddy. My other friend read it only halfway through, though. And that is what I wanna talk about. She only read halfway through because the language was a little too... adult-ish. But I kind of think it's cool. It sounded a little bit like Arnold Scherzeneger in The Terminator :D. I mean, the main character is 5,000 years old. What do you expect?
If you ask me to give a rating, I think I'll give it a 4/5. The book almost hit my 'wow' factor but it wasn't enough. There's a lot of talk about religion in it that makes you kind of want to skip and turn the page(and that is exactly what I did and I can't say I'm proud of it) and there's also a lot of stuff they say that is definitely out of my understandment.
But minus the sound of the main character's voice and the trash talk. I liked the series overall. It was action-ny which my friend Marissa would lurvvvvveee it. It has the element of romance in it. Not to mention the element of suspense. There's also a time where the book made me wanna cry(which I actually did) and the scenes where it grabbed my heart and twist it, making me feel heavy. It was a book I would recommend(but not highly)
